On September 16, 2019, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) approved the Kittitas County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan.
Through partnerships, reduce the vulnerability to natural
hazards in order to protect the health, safety, welfare and
economy of the communities within Kittitas County.
Kittitas County has a total area of 2,333 square miles. The highest point in the county is Mount Daniel at 7,959 feet above sea level.
