Kittitas (pronounced 'KITT-i-tass') County is located in central Washington
State. It spans from the lush forested Cascade Mountains to the upper Yakima River Valley plains and
the Columbia River.
Due to the public health crisis caused by COVID-19 and the declared state of emergency, the Sheriff’s Office has enacted temporary, safety-related limitations on some of our services. These restrictions include some limitations to civil paper service functions implemented for the protection of our employees and community.
During the phased re-opening of our state under the Stay Home/Stay Healthy Order, we are serving and will continue to serve orders of the court that touch on the safety of the public, including no contact orders, anti-harassment orders, and family law orders. However, we are not currently accepting requests for paper service in other civil matters. We will revisit and update these restrictions as the public health situation develops and this state of emergency is brought to a safe resolution.
