State. It spans from the lush forested Cascade Mountains to the upper Yakima River Valley plains and
the Columbia River.
Kittitas County Solid Waste Management Plan
Kittitas County Solid Waste Programs works closely
with the Kittitas County Solid Waste Advisory Committee (SWAC) and the Board of
County Commissioners in accordance with Chapter 70.95 (165) RCW.
SWAC members consist of representatives of cities and
towns within the county, the waste management industry, local elected officials,
and citizens of Kittitas County.

Advises Kittitas County on all aspects of solid waste
Assists Kittitas County in the development of
programs and policies concerning solid waste management.
Reviews and comments on proposed solid waste
management rules, policies, or ordinances prior to their adoption.
Kittitas County has a total area of 2,333 square miles. The highest point in the county is Mount Daniel at 7,959 feet above sea level.
