Kittitas County, WA - 10/27/2026 - The Kittitas County Auditor’s Office is aware of the October 26, 2026, Department of Justice press conference and related allegations concerning potential noncitizen voting in Washington State.
At this time, the Auditor’s Office has not received information identifying any suspected instances involving Kittitas County voters.
Our elections team continues to administer the election strictly in accordance with applicable state and federal law. Our fundamental guiding principle remains unchanged: every lawful ballot must be counted fairly, efficiently, and consistent with voter intent.
If the County receives information from an official source indicating that a noncitizen may have voted or attempted to vote in Kittitas County, the matter will be referred promptly to the Kittitas County Canvassing Board and the Kittitas County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for review and appropriate action in accordance with state and federal law.
