Public Input Sought on Six-Year Transportation Improvement Plan and Annual Construction Program

Kittitas County, WA - 07/15/2026 - The public comment period for the Six-Year Transportation Improvement Plan will be conducted online from July 15th to August 5th,, 2026. The proposed plan will be available for public review on the Kittitas County Public Works website, where community members may also submit comments and suggestions regarding proposed transportation projects.

Kittitas County Public Works has prepared the draft Six-Year Transportation Improvement Plan for 2027–2032. The plan includes the County’s 2027 Annual Construction Program and identifies capital improvement projects funded through a combination of local and grant funding sources. Planned projects may include pavement preservation and rehabilitation, culvert replacements to remove fish barrier, enhancements to roadway safety, drainage improvements to reduce flooding, and other transportation infrastructure upgrades. The draft documents include project descriptions, vicinity maps, and financial information for the proposed construction program.
The public is encouraged to review the draft documents and provide comments by August 5, 2026.
