Kittitas County, WA - 06/10/2026 - Kittitas County Public Works Department Crews will begin the Annual Chip Sealing Program.
Kittitas County, WA – 6/10/2026 – Kittitas County Public Works Department crews will begin the annual chip sealing program on selected roads throughout the County, beginning the week of June 25th and continue through the end of July, weather dependent. Chip sealing is a cost-effective road surface treatment used to extend the service life of the roadway. Work includes application of hot asphalt oil covered with rock. Motorists are advised to exercise caution when approaching crews in work zones and observe traffic signs and reduced speed limits. Motorists also should expect delays in the work zones.
