Kittitas County, WA - 05/28/2026 - The Kittitas County Law and Justice (L&J) Council offers grants to community and local governmental organizations in support of the law and justice system.
Each year, funding is dedicated from the Kittitas County 1/10th % law and justice sales tax for this grant program. Successful grant applications must fit the mission of the L&J Council and the purpose of the criminal justice tax that supports these grants. Grant requests may include equipment, materials, programs, and projects that support these goals. L&J grants are not available to support salaries, leases and/or rental costs. Applications are available at the Kittitas County Sheriff's Office, 307 W. Umptanum Road or on the Kittitas County Sheriff's Office website: https://www.co.kittitas.wa.us/sheriff/default.aspx Applications must be postmarked or received no later than July 24, 2026. The L&J Budget Committee will evaluate all requests and forward recommendations to the L&J Council for approval. The applicant may be required to make a presentation to the Committee if the application requires clarification. Final decisions on grant funding are subject to approval by the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners. Funds will be available on January 1, 2027, unless there is a demonstrated exigency.
