2026 Kittitas County Tax Roll Certified

Kittitas County, WA - 01/15/2026 - On January 15, 2026, the 2026 Kittitas County Tax Roll was certified. The process for printing tax statements will begin soon and mailing of the statements is expected in mid-February.

If you do not receive your property tax statement by mid-March, please confirm that your mailing address is correct. Visit the Treasurer’s TaxSifter website at http://taxsifter.co.kittitas.wa.us to view current mailing address, tax information, and payment history. You may also contact our office by email at treasurer@co.kittitas.wa.us or by phone at 509-962-7535 with any questions or concerns.
 
Our office sends tax statements directly to the property owner. If a mortgage lender pays your taxes, they will likely request a copy of the tax roll from our office. If you have any concerns, contact your mortgage company directly to confirm that they have the current tax information.

If you signed up for eNoticesOnline, your tax statement will not be mailed to you. It will be emailed to the email address provided when you enrolled.

If you have a communications assessment (Television District 1) on your property, that statement will be mailed in a separate envelope. Communication assessments will also be mailed mid-February. TV District payments and Exemption Requests
must be returned to the Treasurer's by April 30, 2026. After the exemption deadline the full assessment amount and a late fee will be due.

If you have a Cascade Irrigation or water metering assessments, it will be mailed in the same envelope as your property taxes.

The first half of your 2026 property taxes are due by April 30.
Tax payments can be made:

  • Online through your bank’s online bill payment services.
  • Online through paymybills.link/Kittitas or by calling Point and Pay directly at (866) 279-1721. Please note that fees will apply.
  • By mail. Taxpayers should include their tax payment coupon and write the property tax account number on their check or money order. Cash should not be sent through the mail.

    • Ellensburg, WA  98926  
  • In Person in Ellensburg- at 205 W 5th Ave. Ste 102, Ellensburg, Monday through Thursday 9:00am to 4:00pm, and Friday 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
  • In Person in Cle Elum - April and October ONLY, at 700 E 1st, Tuesdays and Fridays from 1:00pm - 4:00pm. Your payment will be posted in-person during these times.
  • Drop-off in Upper County- using the mail slot on the front of the Upper District Court building at 700 E 1st Street, Cle Elum or at the Upper District Court counter during business hours. This service is drop-off only. Your payment will not be posted at the time of drop-off. 
  • Drive Up Drop Box –there is now a black Drop Box on the south side of the Courthouse driveway where tax payments, or other documents, can be left without the need to come into the building. Please do not place cash in this drop box.
As always, we are committed to providing property owners with exemplary service regarding all inquiries and transactions related to property taxes.

In an effort to ensure accurate delivery of tax statements and other mailings, the Treasurer’s Office encourages anyone who experiences a change in their mailing address to notify us.  The Treasurer’s Office works closely with the Assessor’s Office, and your prompt address updates assist both offices in maintaining accurate records.
