Kittitas County, WA - 06/02/2025 - The Kittitas County Developmental Disabilities Advisory Committee is conducting a survey, and we need your help to complete a survey. The survey is available online at https://kittitas.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9Hsa0yvor0LpIge. There are only 20 questions in the survey. Complete the survey between June 2 and June 16 and enter to win one of three Safeway gift cards in the amount of $50.00. This survey is intended for individuals who identify as having an intellectual or developmental disability (IDD) and reside in Kittitas County.
The survey is part of the committee’s goal to assure that there are accessible, affordable, and supported options for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to socialize and be involved in the community. The survey helps to identify what people with IDD want for activities and recreation, locally. In 2024, the committee conducted a previous survey. That survey identified a lack of social activities and recreation. When survey respondents were asked an open-ended question, “What amenities, services, or opportunities do you feel are missing in your community that would improve your quality of life or help you feel more connected with your community,” the most common answers were social connections and community activities. This year’s survey will be used to determine what activities are most wanted and if there are any potential barriers that should be identified.
