Kittitas County, WA - 05/14/2025 - The Kittitas County Public Health Department (KCPHD) is gathering information about experiences with poor air quality through a survey. We want to hear about how smoke and poor air quality affect you. Individuals who complete the survey can enter to win a drawing for a $25 gift card. The survey takes less than ten minutes to complete and is available in English or Spanish. Please take the survey prior to 5pm on May 28th at Qualtrics Survey | Qualtrics Experience Management
Wildfire smoke and pollution can affect health, routines, work, and play. KCPHD wants to know how it impacts you, so that we can improve local programs and services. This survey will be used as baseline information and there will be future outgoing surveys when we see any effects in our county from wildfire smoke. “The public health department has been engaged in air quality work due to wildfire smoke since the Taylor Bridge Fire in 2012,” states Director Chelsey Loeffers. “Since our county continues to endure wildfire smoke regularly, we need to continue our work to reflect the needs of our community.” If you are unable to complete the survey online or need assistance in completing a survey, please contact the front desk at KCPHD at 509-962-7515. For more information about air quality and smoke from fires visit Smoke From Fires | Washington State Department of Health.
