Kittitas County, WA - 12/06/2024 - Do you want to impact mental health in Kittitas County? Do you want to help shape programs and services around mental health and substance use disorder? Kittitas County is looking for volunteers to apply for the 1/10th of 1% Mental Health and Chemical Dependency Tax Advisory Board. There are currently openings for the advisory board for the following representation:• Commissioner District 1 Representative• Commissioner District 2 Representative• Member at Large – Lived Experience• Member with Unique Experience – Mental Health Disorders
Applicants must be 18 and reside in Kittitas County. Commissioner Districts are available via the Auditor at Kittitas County Auditor | Elections | Participating in Elections. Applications for the board are available via the Kittitas County website at Boards Application.pdf. Paper applications can also be picked up at the Board of County Commissioners Office at 205 W 5th, Room 108, Ellensburg Washington. You can also request an application via email at BOCC@co.kittitas.wa.us. As a member of the advisory board, you will work together to provide recommendations to the county regarding the delivery of mental health and substance use disorder programs and services using funds collected from sales tax from 1/10th of 1% in our county.
