STEER I-90 - Seeking Comments on Alternative Solutions for I-90 between Cle Elum and Easton

Kittitas County, WA - 02/13/2024 - Seeking public input on a range of alternatives and how they compare to each other.

Interstate 90 (I-90) is the major east-west transportation corridor in Kittitas County and is vital to the area’s economy. The STEER I-90 Coalition is working to improve traffic safety and community connectivity on the interstate between Easton (Exit 70) and Cle Elum (Exit 85).

The I-90 Corridor Feasibility Study is the first step in identifying potential project(s) to improve this troublesome corridor. Safety Transportation Environment Equity Resiliency (STEER) I-90 would like to hear your input on alternatives being analyzed based on criteria previously expressed by the community in the last public survey.

The public is being asked to share their comments on alternative solutions currently being analyzed. Graphic boards of information will be displayed with members of the technical team present to further describe.

There are two different opportunities to participate. A public webinar will be held on “Zoom” on Tuesday, February 20, from 6:00-7:00 pm. An in-person Open House will be held at the Cle Elum Senior Center from 6:00-8:00 pm on February 28.
