Kittitas County, WA - 12/21/2022 - Seasonal influenza (flu) activity is currently very high in Washington State. Severity classifications for flu include low, moderate, high, and very high. To date, seasonal flu is the most common respiratory or intestinal virus that is circulating in our state.
The Kittitas County Public Health Department (KCPHD) is notified of seasonal influenza deaths as required by Washington State Law. Kittitas County has had 4 flu deaths in the last 5 years. Unfortunately, KCPHD was recently notified of a new influenza associated death in Kittitas County. Take preventative steps to stop the spread of germs this flu season:
