Kittitas (pronounced 'KITT-i-tass') County is located in central Washington State. It spans from the lush forested Cascade Mountains to the upper Yakima River Valley plains and the Columbia River.
Kittitas County, WA - 12/17/2020 - On December 17, the Kittitas Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) and the Kittitas County Board of Health (BOH) approved the Kittitas County Public Health Department’s (KCPHD) proposed 2021 Fee Schedule and Policy during a public hearing. The updated fees are effective January 1, 2021.
A press release was sent out on December 1 notifying the public of the proposed changes along with the draft changes for review. KCPHD uses time audits to determine fees, which can result in annual changes. Fees to the public are based on staff time and a cost recovery model. The BOCC and BOH approved the department’s proposed 2021 Fee Schedule, with an amendment to adjust On-site Sewage System (OSS) fees to accommodate an additional staff person, per stakeholder request. “As the county continues to grow, we need additional staff to accommodate that growth,” states Jesse Cox Environmental Health Supervisor. Additional changes include an updated Revised Code of Washington regarding vital records with a corresponding change to the vital record fees. The new 2021 Fee Schedule and Policy will be posted online at https://www.co.kittitas.wa.us/uploads/documents/health/fees/2020-Fee-Schedule-Policy.pdf on January 1 of 2021.
