Notice of Availability Final Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact for the Kittitas County Airport Improvement Projects
Interested parties are hereby notified that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has approved a Final Environmental Assessment (Final EA) and prepared Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the proposed Airport Improvement projects at the Kittitas County Airport, located in Ellensburg, Washington.
Kittitas County (the Airport Sponsor) has proposed a series of improvement projects designed to improve safety and operational efficiency for current and future users of the Airport. The project purpose would be accomplished through construction of the following improvements:
The Final EA and FONSI found that the project is consistent with existing environmental policies and objectives as set forth in the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969 and will not significantly affect the quality of the human environment.
In accordance with current Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) regulations, copies of the FONSI and Final EA will be available for review at the following at the following locations through June 24, 2022: project website at: https://www.co.kittitas.wa.us/airport/default.aspx.
