Kittitas County Comprehensive Plan - Community Visioning Survey

Kittitas County Community Development Services held 6 public visioning meetings in February and March 2016. These meetings are summarized in the Public Visioning Summary Report.

Based on public comments and feedback from community groups regarding the ability for community members to attend public meetings and the necessity for broad public input, County staff created a Community Visioning Survey for community members to participate in the visioning process.

Inspection Scheduling for the Winter Season

If our vehicles cannot safely make it to your project due to snow and ice in higher elevations, we will not perform the inspection. Please have all access roads and driveways plowed clear so we can get to the job site. We apologize but we cannot ride in your vehicles, all-terrain vehicles or snowmobiles.

Community Development Fee Schedule

The Board of County Commissioners hired The FCS Group, a private consulting firm, to evaluate costs of services provided by Community Development Services and a fee study associated with those costs. The FCS Group specializes in public finance and municipal fees. An in-depth analysis of Land Use Permits and Building Permits was conducted to determine if permit fees adequately recovered costs or charged more than necessary. As a result of the analysis, CDS presented a fee for service schedule and proposed the BOCC adopt the fee model. A public hearing was held November 3rd and the BOCC approved the fee changes and asked the CDS department to write the ordinance.
