Kittitas County Board of Health Advisory Committee

The Board of Health Advisory Committee advocates for public health in Kittitas County and provides an important advisory role to the Board of Health and the staff of the Health Department. The membership represents a cross-section of private citizens and professionals who are interested in the health and quality of life in Kittitas County. Board members are elected and serve three year terms.

The Vision is to have an ongoing collaborative relationship with the Board of Health where the Board consults with the Advisory Committee, and/or the Health Department Administration, prior to proposing any resolutions impacting the Public Health Department. Furthermore, Kittitas County will have a fully functioning, adequately staffed, responsive and proactive Public Health Department that is adequately funded and supported by the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners.

The mission is to provide advisory feedback and formal recommendations, to both the Board of Health and the Health Department of Kittitas County, related to policy, funding, initiatives, and emergent needs, in support of the goals and mission of the Kittitas County Public Health Department.

The Board of Health Advisory Committee meets the second Monday of every month from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at the Veteran’s Training Center at HopeSource.
