Kittitas (pronounced 'KITT-i-tass') County is located in central Washington State. It spans from the lush forested Cascade Mountains to the upper Yakima River Valley plains and the Columbia River.
Kittitas County, WA - 10/14/2014 - The Kittitas County Board of Commissioners are accepting grant applications to be considered for the 2015 historic documents and preservation program (HB 1386).
A total of $10,000.00 is available to be awarded to non-profit organizations, cities and other governmental agencies located within Kittitas County for projects relating to historic documents and preservation projects. In 2008 the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners approved a Resolution outlining the protocol for the distribution of funds collected under HB 1386 which authorizes the collection of funds based on documents filed with the Auditor's office. Funds are limited to material costs and expenses and are not authorized for personnel. Grant applications are available in the Kittitas County Commissioners office located at 205 West 5th Avenue Room #108 Ellensburg, WA or online at www.co.kittitas.wa.us. Completed grant applications are due by 4:00 p.m. on Friday November 21, 2014.
