Kittitas (pronounced 'KITT-i-tass') County is located in central Washington State. It spans from the lush forested Cascade Mountains to the upper Yakima River Valley plains and the Columbia River.
Kittitas County, WA - 09/19/2014 - The Kittitas County Public Health Department (KCPHD) will be holding the annual drive-thru flu vaccination clinic on October 17, 2014. This year we will hold the drive thru clinic in the parking lot of the Kittitas County Public Health Department located off of Nanum and Fifth Street. Anyone can get a flu shot between 7:00 am and 3:00 pm. Children 18 and under are free. KCPHD has a limited supply of free flu vaccine for adults – first come first serve. After the free supply is gone, adults will be charged $30.00 (cash or check). In addition, we will be billing Medicare this year for eligible adults.
KCPHD has been conducting drive-thru flu vaccination clinics since 2003. The department uses the annual drive-thru flu clinic to practice for the possibility of a disease outbreak that would either require vaccinating or distributing medication to large numbers of people in Kittitas County. Getting vaccinated is the best way to prevent getting the flu and now you can protect yourself without even getting out of your car. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that everyone over the age of 6 months receive a flu shot every year. It is especially important for certain groups of people to be vaccinated every year including:
