Kittitas (pronounced 'KITT-i-tass') County is located in central Washington State. It spans from the lush forested Cascade Mountains to the upper Yakima River Valley plains and the Columbia River.
Kittitas County, WA - 12/03/2013 - The Kittitas Valley Event Center is pleased to announce the launching of a new event, Field to Fork, to be hosted at the Kittitas Valley Event Center, February 22 and 23, 2014. Field to Fork is a sustainable agriculture conference focused on serving the Inland Northwest farming region and meeting the needs of people who desire a stronger local food system. Farmer-to-farmer and farmer-to-consumer events such as this support research, education and project development.
Field to Fork will offer two days of workshops, classes, educational speakers, food experiences, as well as a marketplace geared to the forward leaning, motivated, consumer who wants to take command of their own food chain.
The Marketplace will feature vendors with items specializing in farming, harvesting, preserving, and cooking, as well as several informational and educational booths.
Industry experts will host a variety of sessions on topics ranging from management, small business marketing, animal husbandry, food preservation, water and land use, new farmer pitfalls, current trends, and much more.

Registration to attend the conference will begin in January, available through the Kittitas Valley Event Center.
