    a. Brethren Frontier School Conditional Use Permit (CU-22-00003)
    Brethren Frontier School proposes the use of the existing school building as well as the addition of a multipurpose building for the use by the co-op school. The facilities would be mainly used on Thursday afternoons during the spring and fall for homeschool co-op classes and the Multipurpose building would be used for occasional sports and events for the co-op school. The subject parcel is zoned Commercial Agriculture with a Commercial Agriculture land use designation. New Schools are allowed in this zone with a Conditional Use Permit. The property is identified as parcel# 13147 located at 1061 Emerson Road approximately .76 miles south of the intersection of Emerson Road and Alkali Road, in Section 28, Township 17, Range 19, bearing Assessor’s Map# 17-19-28053-0001 in Kittitas County.

    b. Calvary Ellensburg Conditional Use Permit (CU-22-00002)
    Calvary Ellensburg applied for an expanded church use that would be split into two phases. Phase 1 would take place in years 2022-2024 while Phase 2 would take place in years 2024-2032. Phase one (1) would add a new 15,000 square foot sanctuary, 800 square foot breezeway, 350 square foot stage addition to the existing 6,000 square foot sanctuary. Phase one also includes a 1,625 square foot portable classroom and engineered parking area. Phase two (2) would include construction of an outdoor pavilion and outdoor stage area along with a restroom building. It also includes a commercial grade park structure, multi-purpose building of up to 10,000 square feet, various sport courts and expanded parking lot. The property (Parcels 064734 and 194734) is located in an Urban Residential zone within the City of Ellensburg’s Urban Growth Boundary. The proposed use is permitted in this zone with a Conditional Use Permit under KCC 17.15.080.
