All permits are subject to a $120.00 issuance fee.  

* Listed fees are typically the only fees charged for most applications, except those that are exceptional in scale and/or complexity. Applications that are exceptional in scale or complex will be determined at a pre-application meeting and will require a staffing/development agreement to be executed per KCC 15A.11. "Base fee" and "actual expenses" include costs for staff, consultants, hearing examiner, advertising, communications, postage and public notice expenses when those costs exceed the base (minimum) fee. Time is computed in increments not less than one hour at $65.00 per hour. Expenses are payable prior to hearing (legislative and quasi-judicial) or final action (administrative). A final billing will include advertising and hearing examiner expenses.

These fees are in addition to Building, Planning and/or any other County Department fees.

Amendment to any land use approval is 50% of normal application fee in place at the time of amendment request.

It is the only fee charged for most applications, except those that are exceptional in scale and/or complexity. Special event permits

A special event is defined by the International Fire Code as a carnival, fair, circus, exhibit or trade show, or any other type of public exhibition. These events shall require a permit from the Fire Marshal's Office, in addition to any other required county permits.

A Fire Marshal's Event/Assembly permits application must meet the following requirements:

  1. A completed application.
  2. A site plan.
  3. Indoor events must include a floor plan.
  4. Submitted to the Fire Marshal's office a minimum of 14 day prior to the scheduled event.

The Fire Marshal Event/Assembly permits application is an application for 2 separate permits:

  1. Fire Marshal Event Permit
  2. Fire Marshal Assembly Occupancy Permit
