Kittitas County Community Development Services (CDS) will be holding a Builder Outreach meeting on January 9, 2023. The meeting will take place at 6:00pm in the Commissioner’s Auditorium at the Kittitas County Courthouse located at 205 W 5th Avenue in Ellensburg, WA.
CDS would like to hear the needs of the Building Community and provide information regarding what we are doing to improve customer interaction and reduce permit review wait times while maintaining our “next business day” inspection availability. Several changes have been made this year at CDS to provide our customers with more options for plan review and there are additional options on the way including electronic plan submissions.
Additionally, CDS would like to address the State Building Code updates that will be going into effect on July 1, 2023. The primary topics regarding the building code update will include the Energy Code and the new State-mandated Wildland Urban Interface Code (WUIC) changes, however all questions/ concerns will be welcome.
If you have specific questions or are unable to attend the meeting, feel free to contact CDS at the email below so that we can address those for you.
