Kittitas County, WA - 09/26/2022 - The Kittitas County Flood Control Zone District provides flood risk information for properties located within Kittitas County. This service is provided upon request for no charge. District staff is available to provide this information to all requestors, for properties both in unincorporated Kittitas County and within cities and towns.
The primary source of flood risk information is from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). FEMA flood maps identify Special Flood Hazard Areas (SFHA). Local jurisdictions have special requirements for development within SFHAs. SFHAs are also used for mandatory flood insurance requirements, which are lender requirements.
