Kittitas County, WA -
Kittitas County is currently in Phase 2 of the Washington State Phased Plan. Our county will be required to stay in Phase 2 for a minimum of three weeks. The time period of three weeks is based on 2 weeks for a potential incubation period in addition to one additional week to account for the one-week average between symptom onset and testing. During Phase 2, we are required to show the state that we can contain any additional outbreaks.
As of today, we currently have 86 cases of COVID-19. 42 are considered recovered, so there are 44 active cases in our county at this time. The majority of cases continue to be associated with the Twin City Foods Outbreak.
The Kittitas County Incident Management Team (IMT) continues to emphasize that all business establishments are required to have a safety plan in place. Safety plan worksheets are available on our Kittitas county incident website in addition to sample plans. Technical assistance is also available and a request for assistance can also be submitted via the Kittitas County incident website at www.co.kittitas.wa.us.
Continue to stay home when you are sick, wash your hands frequently, maintain physical distance whenever possible, and wear a cloth face covering when you cannot maintain physical distance. Please continue to follow Phase 2 requirements, which can be found at the state site at https://coronavirus.wa.gov/. The goal of the IMT is to pursue Phase 3 while keeping our county safe.
