Kittitas County, WA -
On September 27th law enforcement got to hang out with some pretty cool kids.
Members of the Kittitas County Special Response team, along with some on duty Officers and Deputies, attended a trike-a-thon put on by the Chestnut Preschool and Day Care. The school is hoping to make it an annual event and had about 10 participants this year. Members of the Special Response Team barbecued hotdogs to keep the little ones' energy up for their time on the cone course. The kids also got to try on some of the response team's safety gear and drive a robot. The Special Response Team is a collateral duty multi-jurisdictional team that is contributed to by multiple agencies in the county. SRT is available to all the agencies in the county to assist in making critical incidents safer for all involved.
