Kittitas County, WA - 07/31/2018 - The Kittitas County Flood Control Zone District and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will host a meeting to discuss the potential impacts of and provide feedback on the proposed community flood map revisions in the Thorp area.
The Open House will be held at the Thorp High/Middle School Commons Area located at 10831 Thorp Hwy in Thorp on August 6th, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. FEMA has issued a preliminary map showing revisions to the 1 percent annual chance floodplain, which has a 1 percent change of flooding in any year. Property owners and community residents will have the opportunity to learn about the flood mapping process and what the changes mean for them. Residents will also have the opportunity to ask questions about how the map revision will impact their property and community.
