Notice of public hearing to consider Adoption of the 2021 County Budget

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the Board of County Commissioners on December 7th, 2020, at the hour of 2:00 p.m. in the County Commissioner’s Auditorium, County Courthouse and if necessary will continue through December 11th, 2020, to consider the adoption of the proposed 2021 County Budget.

Included in the 2021 budgets are property taxes in the estimated amount of: $9,165,234 for the General Levy which includes an increase of 1%, $7,450,594 for the County Road Levy less $220,000 for County Road Diversion levy; which includes an increase of 14.348%; and $836,159 for the Flood Control Zone Levy; which includes an increase of $1%, and all include new construction, and increases due to state assessed utilities.

At said hearing; any interested person may appear and be heard for or against said proposed budgets and the property taxes.   A copy of said budgets may be viewed online December 2nd, 2020 County’s website http://www.co.kittitas.wa.us/auditor/accounting/budget.aspx

Anyone with an interest in this matter is urged to attend said hearing where all testimony will be taken. Written comments may be received at 205 W 5th Ave. STE 108, Ellensburg, WA 98926 at or prior to the hearing.
