Kittitas (pronounced 'kit-i-tass') County is located in central Washington
State. It spans from the lush forested Cascade Mountains to the upper Yakima River Valley plains and
the Columbia River.
Community gardens are great ways to increase access to healthy foods in communities.
They give people the opportunity to grow their own food, be physically active through gardening, and
build community all at the same time! There are several community gardens in Kittitas County.
Individual plots are available for rent. This garden maintains several plots for fresh produce donations
to local food banks. In partnership with the Kittitas County WSU Extension office, St. Andrew's Community
Garden works with Master Gardeners to hold gardening classes. Look for more information on Facebook.

Raised beds are available for rent. The garden is fenced in and watered regularly. Cle Elum Rotary Community
Garden participants support local food banks by donating fresh produce.
Location: Centennial Park, Cle Elum (Next to the Putnam Centennial Center)
Started by students and maintained by students, this garden includes raised beds and handicap-accessible

Gardening opportunities are available to all residents.
Location: Small park east of State Route 903 in Roslyn
