On Monday February 11, 2013 the Board of County Commissioners adopted Ordinance 2013-001 relating to
the Comprehensive Plan Compliance effort. This ordinance with its appendices represents the final changes
to the Comprehensive Plan, Kittitas County Code, and the Official Zoning and Land Use Maps designed
to bring the county back into compliance with the Washington State Growth Management Act. This action
and the related documentation represent the culmination of an 18 month effort as outlined below by Community
Development Services to define and protect the county's rural character.

All materials presented to the public, the Planning Commission, and the Board of County Commissioners
and all of the public comments received by the County during the process of bringing the Comprehensive
Plan and County development regulations into compliance with the Washington State Growth Management
Act are provided within this link. The record is arranged for review to reflect what was presented to
the Planning Commission (PC) and those presented to the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC). Any index

Complete Record for Deliberations
The Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners held a public hearing on Monday, November 26, 2012
at 6 p.m. at the Teanaway Hall at County Fairgrounds. The Board continued the hearing for written comment
until November 28th at 5:00 PM and started deliberations at 1:30 on November 30th . On November 30th
the Board reopened the record until December 6th at 5:00 PM and continued the deliberations to December
10th. On December 10th the Board continued the hearing to January 16th at 1:30. The

The County staff hosted a final public open house event on September 18th to communicate
the results of the open house events, draft changes to the Comprehensive Plan and
regulations to meet the Growth Management Act and next steps in the compliance process.
