Administration | Overlegal Permit
There are two types of Overlegal Permits that can be obtained from the
Kittitas County Public Works. The first being a Washington State Oversize/Overlegal
Vehicle Permit. The Public Works office acts as a liaison to the Washington
State Department of Transportation permitting office located in Cle Elum,
Washington. To obtain this permit the applicant must have a credit card. The
second is the Special Motor Vehicle Permit that Kittitas County uses to
authorize overweight, over height, and over width vehicles onto the County
Roads. These are the general specifications that are followed:

Maximum width allowed is 12 feet on County Roads
