FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Fairgrounds Animal Evacuation/Recovery and Volunteers

Kittitas County, WA - 08/20/2012 - The Kittitas County Fairgrounds phone line for Animal Evacuations/Recovery, 509-962-0002, will be manned from 8 AM until 5 PM. If an animal evacuation is needed due to the Taylor Bridge Fire after 5:00 PM, those needing assistance should call KITTCOM at 509-925-8534.

Thank you to all the volunteers who have provided assistance at the Fairgrounds.  As we begin to evaluate our operation, it is very important that we have a clear understanding of how many volunteers we had on the grounds and when they were here.  Through the fast-paced nature of the event, there may have been some volunteers that were unaccounted for.  We are asking ALL volunteers associated with the rescue effort to contact the Kittitas County Fairgrounds at 962-0003 to confirm their hours.  Volunteers may also stop by the Fairgrounds Command Center.
