Seeking Volunteers for Citizen Advisory Committee
Kittitas County, WA - 07/30/2012 - Kittitas County has initiated an update to its Critical Areas Ordinance as required by the Growth Management Act. One of the steps for the update processes was the formation of a Technical Advisory Committee to help focus technical discussions and identify key technical and policy issues associated with the Critical Areas Ordinance update processes. A Critical Area Ordinance Citizen Advisory Committee will now be established, to finalize recommendations on critical area policies and regulations.
Kittitas County has initiated an update to its Critical Areas Ordinance as required by the Growth Management Act. One of the steps for the update processes was the formation of a Technical Advisory Committee to help focus technical discussions and identify key technical and policy issues associated with the Critical Areas Ordinance update processes. A Critical Area Ordinance Citizen Advisory Committee will now be established, to finalize recommendations on critical area policies and regulations.
The County is seeking volunteers from the unincorporated County to participate in the Critical Area Ordinance Citizen Advisory Committee. The County hopes to achieve a diverse mix of interest, including agriculture, recreation, real estate/development, environment, sporting, and conservation.
The first Critical Area Ordinance Citizen Advisory Committee meeting is expected to occur in mid-September, with approximately one monthly meeting thereafter through approximately December 2012.
