Kittitas (pronounced 'KITT-i-tass') County is located in central Washington State. It spans from the lush forested Cascade Mountains to the upper Yakima River Valley plains and the Columbia River.
The Kittitas County Developmental Disabilities Program coordinates state funding for local agencies to provide employment, community access and other supportive services to persons with developmental disabilities and their family members. All services are guided by values that are at the core of County-delivered services in Washington. To be eligible for services, all participants must be eligible for and receiving services from the Department of Social and Health Services, Developmental Disabilities Administration.

The Developmental Disabilities Program is guided by the Developmental Disabilities Advisory Committee (DDAC). The DDAC advises and makes recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners relating to developmental disabilities issues and services. The committee provides leadership and direction on the efficiency and effectiveness of services provided to persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities in Kittitas County.
