Kittitas (pronounced 'kit-i-tass') County is located in central Washington
State. It spans from the lush forested Cascade Mountains to the upper Yakima River Valley plains and
the Columbia River.
Together with the Kittitas County Health Network, 30 community members, and 20 community partners, the Kittitas County Public Health Department is leading the 2017 community health assessment and improvement planning efforts. The 2017 process was kicked off in June, the community health assessment (CHA is expected to be complete by December, and the community health improvement plan (CHIP) will be complete by May 2018. The CHA/CHIP Workgroup is using the Mobilizing for Action through Planning and Partnerships (MAPP) framework to conduct the assessment and create the improvement plan.
