Fire Investigations

The Office of the County Fire Marshal employs fire investigators who provide fire investigation services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The investigators provide professional and thorough investigations to the unincorporated areas of Kittitas County, as well as those cities with established interlocal agreements. The county fire investigators work closely with the Kittitas County Sheriff's Office, local police departments, the Federal Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Washington State Fire Marshal's Office to solve criminal activity and prosecute arsonists.
