This call for sealed bids is for the remodel of the Upper District Court Building.

The project entails the interior remodeling of the existing Upper District Court building. Work will include, but not be limited to, selective demolition of interior partitions, partial floor slab, doors and windows, and floor finishes. New construction will include, but not be limited to, new interior construction of new framed and drywall finished partitions, suspended acoustic tile ceilings, new exterior and interior doors, new interior windows, floor slab patch back, wall and floor finishes, mechanical plumbing and HVAC systems modifications and additions, and electrical pow- er/lighting/data modifications and additions. Toilet room partitions and accessories and miscellaneous specialties will also be included. Select exterior and site work will be included as noted on the drawings. The architect's estimate of probable cost for Base Bid is between $325,000 - $375,000.

A MANDATORY pre-bid conference will be held at 1:30 PM, Friday, December 14, 2012 at 700 East 1st Street, Cle Elum, Wa. 98922 . A tour of the existing court facility and building will follow this conference. All companies intending to bid as a prime contractor are required to have an employee of the company attend and identify themselves and the company on the project sign-in sheet. Bids submitted by bidders who were not in attendance will be rejected. Each attendee wanting to participate in the existing jail facility tour will be required to undergo a security background check before they will be allowed to enter the jail. Each attendee will be required to provide their driver's license to the corrections officer present who will conduct this background check. The driver's licenses will be returned to all attendees before commencement of the tour.

Bids are due by December 21, 2012 at 2:00 pm in the Commissioners office located at 205 West 5th Ave, Rm 108, Ellensburg,WA, at which time bids will no longer be accepted. Bids will be opened in the Commissioners Auditorium on December 21, 2012, at 2:05 pm.For more information, contact Solid Waste
