Notice is hereby given that the Board of County Commissioners for Kittitas County will hold a public hearing on October 5, 2010, at 2:00 pm in the Commissioners Auditorium, Room 109, Kittitas County Courthouse, Ellensburg, Washington to consider:

- the proposed ordinance amending Chapter 3.44 Kittitas County Code based on recent state law changes that raise the enhanced 911 excise tax amounts both on State and County levels and change the administrative procedures of collection and distributing the revenue; and

- an agreement with Washington State Department of Revenue for administration of the enhanced 911 excise taxes; and

- authorizing the signing of secrecy clause affidavits required by the Department of Revenue.

 

The Board of County Commissioners  (BOCC) may make a final decision upon close of the public hearing to adopt the ordinance, sign the agreement, and authorize the signing of the secrecy clause affidavits if the BOCC deems it to be in the public's interest. Or the BOCC may continue the public hearing to a specific date and time where they will review the record, deliberate, and make a final decision. Any person with an interest in this matter is encouraged to attend and provide testimony.
