Throughout the process there will be several opportunities to engage in review and discussion of the regional Shoreline Master Program. Two standing committees will be convened to assist in the Regional SMP update: a Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) and a Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC). In addition, there will be open houses, a community visioning workshop, and public hearings with the Planning Commissions of each participating jurisdiction, as well with elected officials. Members of the public may attend any of these meetings or can access meeting materials and general background information on the regional SMP update by following the links below.
Technical Advisory Committee Back to Top
The purpose of the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) is to help focus technical discussions and identify key technical and policy issues associated with the SMP update process. Members of the public may attend TAC meetings and address the Committee with their thoughts and ideas. Up to ten minutes will be provided at the beginning of each meeting for public comment. The public is also encouraged to submit written comments.
The Technical Advisory Committee held its last meeting on August 10th at 9:00, at the Ellensburg City Council Chambers, 501 N. Anderson St., Ellensburg, WA. No future meetings are scheduled at this time.

November Public Open House Materials
On November 15th, 2012, the County hosted an open house public meeting event on behalf of the multi-jurisdictional regional Shoreline Master Program (SMP) update. Approximately 20 people attended the meeting. The primary purpose of the open house was to introduce the draft proposed shoreline environment designation maps and the draft shoreline master program, and to solicit early comments from the public. Public comments on these materials are encouraged as the maps and shoreline master program are revised throughout the process.

On July 18th and 19th, 2012, the County hosted two open house public meeting events on behalf of the multi-jurisdictional regional Shoreline Master Program (SMP) update. These events kicked-off the community visioning process. Developing a community vision for the shoreline is part of the public participation process for SMP.
