Kittitas County welcomes early and continuous public participation in the Critical Aras Ordinance update process.

The Public Participation Plan identifies the specific objectives, interested participants, and a timeline and process for public participation activities.

Ways to Participate

Throughout the process there will be several opportunities to engage in review and discussion of the CAO update. Two standing committees will be convened to assist in the update:

• Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) 124 KB - The TAC will meet regularly to help focus technical discussions and identify key technical and policy issues associated with the CAO update process and the concurrent Regional SMP update process.
• Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) - The CAC will finalize recommendations on amendments to the County's Comprehensive Plan and development regulations for critical areas. The TAC will be convened in September 2012.

Check the Meetings | Materials page for details on upcoming events or to download materials from current or past meetings. Members of the public may attend the meetings and address the Committee with their thoughts and ideas. Up to ten minutes will be provided at the beginning of each meeting for public comment. The public is also encouraged to submit written comments.
