Healthy Counties, April 12-16, 2010
The Kittitas County Board of Commissioners issues
proclamation: April 2010 is National County Government Month 56 KB.

In recognition of National County Government month, Kittitas County will host activities
and displays throughout the Courthouse from April 12th through 16th. Citizens
are welcome and encouraged to stop by.
Events
- Coloring contest
The
Kittitas County Commissioners will hold their annual coloring contest for children in grades K-5.
All entries will be displayed in hallways of the Courthouse. Entries will be judged by the Kittitas County Board of
Commissioners and awards were presented to the top three individuals in each
class who participates.
- Earth Day
The second annual "Earth Day" event will take place on Saturday April 24th
from 1:00 p.m.–3:30 p.m. at the Ellensburg Transfer Station.
- Household hazardous waste
The Cle Elum Transfer Station Moderate Risk Waste Facility will open back up
for Household Hazardous Waste appointments.
- Free immunization clinic for children
On April 17, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. the Kittitas County Public
Health Department will have a free immunization clinic for children 18 years
and under; free car seat check & fit by Safe Kids of Kittitas County, along
with low cost car seats and helmets to purchase; free fluoride & varnishes
and free children's activities. This event will take place at the Kittitas
County Public Health Department located at 507 N. Naneum Street, Suite 102
