Kittitas (pronounced 'kit-i-tass') County is located in central Washington
State. It spans from the lush forested Cascade Mountains to the upper Yakima River Valley plains and
the Columbia River.
National County Government Month is recognized each April as a celebration of county government.
In recognition of National County Government month, Kittitas County will host activities and displays
throughout the Courthouse from April 9th through 13th. Citizens are welcome and encouraged to stop by.
Kittitas County Solid Waste has always been about a Healthy County and Health Families.
During National County Government Month we will be taking the opportunity to display Safer Cleaning
Alternatives, environmentally friendly cleaning products. We will have pictures demonstrating Safer
cleaning, flyers with recipes and ideas. We will be displaying a few everyday ordinary safe household
products that can clean almost everything. If you have hazardous chemicals you would like to eliminate
from your household, we have answers for that too. This is a great opportunity to rethink the Health
of our Counties Families.
